Dr. Kella became increasingly interested with the power of weight loss in improving health naturally. In prostate cancer, studies have shown that decreasing abdominal circumference correlate with decreased aggressiveness of prostate cancer.
For one year, our providers shared space with a bariatric weight loss practice, which reinforced his view that weight loss was under-appreciated in Urology. His patients can attest to the fact that he encourages all of his patients to lose weight. He employs cutting-edge strategies that have allowed his patients to lose 40 lbs or more prior to surgery.
Christopher Garcia, FNP was brought to help patients with medical weight loss. He has years of experience in an endocrine practice. He has trained the staff to be comfortable with the latest medical approaches to weight loss.
